Looking inside the primaries, those are actually made reasonably well.

Post some pics looking into the collectors.

Does a magnet stick to any part of the headers...?

The OP's pics show 2001-2002 style (the position and orientation of the AIR tubes);

OP's sig says he has a 1999...

Yes I have a 99...the seller said the headers were for his 2000...I'm assuming those would be inter-changable???

If I remember right, that 2553 number sounds very familiar. I will look through some papers, but I may be thinking of 1153 or 1553, something similar, but I think mine are 1153, and the 2553 are the '00-'02 headers. Mine are probably 5 years old. 1 3/4" Hooker Super Comps coated. '98-'99 w/ emission provisions and no expansion slits on the flanges. They have the super comp tag welded on and yes the coating is ****. Mine is a no salt, never driven in rain (but sits in it), stored winters and they are trashed. They do fit extremely well and tuck up nicely. Never any problems besides corrosion.

I am not up to date on manufacturers, but I thought Flowtech was a sub-company of Hookers? Could these possibly be Flowtech headers? Either way I would just run them, not a bad price and would be a lot of hassle sending them back and all that.

I don't think you have to do any modification to run them if you are deleting the emission controls. Only make block off plates. Someone will verify this

Yes you can remove emissions and use block off plates, it WILL throw a code for those things missing/unplugged. No, performance will not be effected because of the codes.
