Default 241 heads worth port and polishing?

can get a pair of 241 heads for $50, was wondering if they are worth port and polishing, or would it be cheaper just to get some 243s of aftermarket ones

The 241s aren't a bad head, but the cost of porting a set of 241s and 243s will be the same price. You will get more power out of 243s over 241s. So, really the only true difference in price is the heads themselves.

I'd say they are worth it yeah. Mill them some to bump compression while you are at it.

won't be as good as cnc'd heads, but have you given any thought to porting them yourself? if you're handy with a die grinder and have some patience it might be a more cost effective option. i'll likely be doing this myself - looking at picking up some sanding drums and a couple burrs from eastwood.

In the hands of AI there is not much difference in power output between the two. In this case go with the 241s. $50 for decent LS heads is alot bang for the buck.

Ive never seen anything special from TSP heads. He asked about 241s, I gave him the best option. If your looking for high compression, good PTV, and already have 241s I dont think that option can be beat.
