L33 to LH6 intake upgrade?
L33 to LH6 intake upgrade? I am putting an L33 5.3 into an offroad buggy.
Looking for close to the 400hp mark, it will have
a custom intake (before manifold), exhaust (ls2 manifolds)
flow thru after manifolds, and a good all around cam.
Is it worth upgrading to the later model tbss LH6 style truck
intake (better injectors and bigger tb)?? I was thinking the larger
tb would work well but how much better that stock L33?

Yes its worth while, I actually used an intake off a LH6 that i parted out on my DD L33 paired with long tubes and a tune HUGE difference over stock. All i did was swap injectors from my stock rail into the new rail, transferred all the EVAP and vacuum hoses over and bought an X-Link to be able to run the Throttle Body because the L33 TB is 8 pin and the new ones are 6 pin.
Are the stock #30 lb tbss injectors a good upgrade to go with that intake? I think
I will need jumpers for the plug difference between the stock #26 lb L33 injectors
and the tbss injectors?

Yes the is TBSS / NBSS intake is a good upgrade. The 87 mm tb and the stainless rails are worth at least 10hp . There is a LQ4 with mods that gained 15 hp 18 lbtq with the swap and retune. Not mention it looks a lot better.
