Yeah i agree that the TB porting is pretty easy to do. As far as how much better a home ported one performs I am not sure.
The SOTP change would have a lot to do with the !cats, I think i remeber it being worth 5 - 10 HP.

Did you have to use a carbide bit to port the TB? I tried using a stone-bit on a dremel and the aluminum just caked up on the stone.

I used a carbide head porting bit and cleaned it up with a dremel fine sanding drum and then 400 for a fine polish.Worked great and my wife and I noticed a nice gain.

I did it all with a dremel and sanding wheels. The trick is LOW pressure on the wheel or you will smooth it out very quikly. I used 60 grit to remove most of the material, then 120 to smooth it out some more, then 400 grit sheet of paper by hand. The stone bit didnt work for me either, just got gummed up.

Same here, variable speed drill & drum sanders/Dremmel & drum sanders. Stone bits did not work.

probably faster to use a die grinder with a carbide big bit and then polish it up. prob dont take 15 minutes to port the tb with a die grinder and good bit.
