Default Worth the gains?

ok so i know what 90% of the answers to this thread are going to be but im not interested in that. im all for doing somthing different.

so here goes. 98 stock long block LS1, about to throw in a SpeedInc Si6 cam kit, and eventually im going to swap to some hand ported 243's heres were i was getting stuck. im running my stock LS1 intake and i need an upgrade...

i want to run a victor jr setup with the low profile elbow and a 92mm T-body. i know everyone says FAST or ls6 but honestly some people thing the ls6's are worth gold and i just want somthing to look cooler also. what kinda gains am i looking at with the 235/240 .619/.607 111 cam and ported 243's ???

i also plan on running a 125 plate shot on the car also untill i build a bigger much more radical motor for the car down the road.

Those low profile elbows kill those intakes. Stick with the LS6 intake, they can be had for ~300.

Ill be different than most of the responses here get a Fast intake and as was previously mentioned the low profile elbows kill that intake plus do you want to cut up your cowl for clearance just for an intake manifold.

What size is that cam? It would have to be a pretty big max effort cam to get any benefit of the vic jr,plus the vic jr will only give you gains in the high rpm range, and having a 98 if thats what your after i would also look into upgrading rod bolts, there is alot im leaving out but it comes down to looking cool or running great,is this just a race car, whats the setup etc? Need more info if ya even think the vic would be a good fit for your setup? A hydro dipped/painted ls6 with some sweet fuel rails looks just as cool as a vic jr,

Your not even going to touch the rpms that will make that vic jr shine,if it was some kind of fi i could see running it but there are some really good threads about the vic jr you should read,i thought about going with it for my setup,ms4,4.30 gears,150 shot and some other max effort parts,if it was just a track car i would have went with it,but a fast was way better than what i was going to with it,also you will lose low end with that intake,it shines in high rpms and at 6400 your not even coming close, and im pretty sure it cost more than 500 to do a vic jr,its been a while since i priced that setup out but i think it was more than that, you can get a ls6 for a lil over 300,port your stock tb and move on,i wouldnt even think of doing a fast intake untill ya got some more important parts of the build done, dont hate on the ls6,its a badass intake, just trying to save ya some money bud,its much easier to do something once than waste money doing it twice,if this was a big cube motor i could maybe see the upgrade, but on a stock 98 with stock rods shifting at 6400 its so not worth it
