Default Worth it to swap bbk long tubes for tsp 1 7/8 headers

Im wondering if it's really worth it to swap to the tsp 1 7/8 headers. Does anybody know what size collector the bbks have?

I would say yes as well. I have BBK headers on my 383 stroker and the car makes good power with them. I think if I were to go to 1 7/8 headers I could maybe pull another 5-10hp and possibly more. Maybe down the road but for now I love the BBK and how clean they are after 2 years on the car and how there is no clearance issues or rubbing anywere with them.

On a stock motor with bolt ons I am not sure if the power gain would be worth the extra money spent on the the bigger headers.

Depends on what your mods are now and plans are for the future,to alot of people its not worth it,but if you have a maxed out setup and your looking to get every bit out of it, its worth doing,i cant see sig but what are your mods currently /and your future mods

^^ Yup for a MAX effort build it is def worth it. To me I really dont care about the small gain because it will get expensive chasing dyno numbers.

Car is somewhat gutted and I assume going from a 2.5 inch collector and 2.5 inch merge is worth a few ponys. I'd go with the 1 7/8 inch headers 3 inch merge and 3 inch true duals.

I would expect you would gain at least 10rwhp from stepping up to 1 7/8 headers especially when you add a bigger cam to the car.
