what alternator is everyone running? Im on my third 140 amp duralast gold alternators and everyone does the same thing everytime.... swap it and it does fine for a few months and then it starts not wanting to charge right at operating temp 170-190 degrees.... so what alternator is everyone running... im looking for a 180-200 amp alternator... thanks guys

rebuilt truck alt 165 amp.hasnt failed me.prior to that i had a stock truck alt but when my power steering pump leaked,the fluid killed that one.
why the need for high output alt,running large stereo or accys?

Id just like to have some spare amprage... id run a 170 amp if I could fine one that autozone would carry for a warranty and fit the f body bracket.... im running the engine, dual fans, fan on transmission cooler, fuel pump, all interior electronics, sterio system with a amp, another fuel pump for my standalone fuel system and some more stuff.....

I would get away from those junk alternators.
Theres plenty of bad mouthing of autostores replacement alternators do a search.
My stock alternator started acting up after the build which included a UDP.

A brand new AC-Delco 140 amp alternator is part number 15263858.
A AC-Delco rebuilt 140 amp alternator is part number 334-2529A.

The 25877026 looks like a winner to me.... ill have to convert my current harness to a 2 pin right? Other than that it will bolt into my stock f body bracket?
These 140 amp units directly replace the stock 100 amp unit on a F-Body. As I recall, you may need a longer belt. The stock rear alternator bracket will not be used with the larger unit.
The exciter plug is the same. Be careful not to break the one tiny wire in it.
