what alternator is everyone running?

HOLD ON EVERYBODY....

While looking up the plug configuration to confirm, I see the 160 amp units are physically larger than the 140 amp units.

I'll now say THE 160 AMP UNIT WILL NOT FIT AN F-BODY.

Sorry for the confusion....

For what it's worth, I do recall like two guys using the 160 amp units. How they got them to fit I don't recall. Maybe if any of you guys feel bold, get one and see what's involved.

Just called and talked with someone at powermaster.... he said with me turning 6800 rpm and spinning the alternator 17, 600 that it sounded to him like I needed a "race" alternator

Im spinning to 6800. You have to remember your not spinning that high all the time so IDK why it would matter. My powermaster is doing great with my setup.

and dont forget.......you MAY need to lengthen your exciter wire with a different alt

So ita down to the ac delco 145 amp or powermaster 150... purpose of this was to get a better alternator and alittle more amperage at idle.. I already have the truck 145 amp but like I said above its a duralast gold
