Default 5.3 to turbo 400 questions

I am putting a 5.3 in a 1929 model a. I have already purchased the carb swap and will be doing that in the next few days so I understand that....my question is I already have my th400 mated to the motor, I knew that it would not use 2 bolt holes in the motor. Next, do they or do I need an adapter for this? This will be no drag car. Only putting a small cam in it for sound. Not a whole lot of horsepower. Also, what all do I need to make it work properly with the converter? I've heard that I need a spacer, a different flex plate etc. I need to know what I need to order so I get the ball rolling. Also, where is te best place to purchase a converter for a cam such as a ***** thumper. And what size and stall? Thanks in advance for the advice!!!!

You're going to need the converter spacer and correct flywheel bolts to use it and a flywheel made for a ls using a regular turbo 400 converter.I would just get a converter from jegs. The second option on the converter is just to get a custom converter made to do away with the spacer.I think tci makes a converter that way.

you can get away with just running the spacer and bolts and ovaling the holes on the stock flexplate to run the th400 converter

Hughes Performance makes a spacer that pushes into the end of the crank and doesn't require longer flexplate bolts. It's also a little cheaper than the bolt on spacer.
