I think it is because of the one way ckeck valve (Norris doesnt have one). Other than that I dont see any real difference. I recived my Norris a few hours ago. Still trying understand how to hook it up.

I was looking into a catch can but did not know where it would be mounted if the car still has ac. Anybody got any pictures?

It mounts on the front of the pass side head. Check out Mike Norris or Rev Extream sites. They have photos.

Done catch cans before, just did the husky filter as an oil seperator. Went and got 4 ft of trans hose, a few brass fittings, one 90* and wallah. 30 min of trimming to get the hose how I wanted it catches everything and cured detonation for me. $35 for me.

From what I've read all catch cans have some blow-by except the Rx and Saikou michi cans. There was a thread on here testing many of them and I specifically remember the Norris can having some blow-by. I was going to get the Norris until I learned about the check valve in the Rx cans preventing any oil from getting out. Any CC is better than nothing but the whole point is to stop all oil from entering your intake manifold.

Had mine 10k with many a flogging on the dyno and street. My intake is still dry.

Disappointing to hear that.

I just installed a Norris catch can and 2004 ls6 valley cover on my 99 c5 and after 1,500 miles it's already caught a good amount of oil. I can't vouch for any others but I do like my Norris a lot.

I have an rx...never had any consumption issues before and in 2k miles I literally have not had one drop drain out of it although I think ive changed my oil 6x. So all I can really say for it is that I like the valve to empty it and it is pretty. Ls6 valley, 30k miles total.

Like I said, never a probnlem here. My intake is still dry as a bone. And that's with the passenger valve cover nipple hooked up to the TB directly as well.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to return or sell it. But after doing H/C and seeing oil literally drip out of my old LS6 intake I wanted the best CC out there for my new FAST setup.

Okay guys, I installed the Norris yesterday. But I took it apart first. Its well made and it looks like all it does is pass the air thats being sucked out of the crankcase through a peice of red scott bright before it goes into the intake. With that being said, I think it will do a fine job.
