Default Advice on spark plugs for a n/a h/c setup

Hey guys. I'm tearing into my motor tomorrow to upgrade to the new style ls6 valley cover and install a fast 92. While I'm doing this, I want to replace my plugs also. I've Ngk tr 55's I'm there now. I'm sure there is a better option thru Ngk now, it's been a few years since I put them in. What's the recommended plug that you head/ cam guys are running? And what gap? Any input would be great.

What's the advantage to those over the tr 55's? They're one step colder right? Any particular gap setting?

I believe the TR6 is a colder plug that comes with a tighter gap, like 0.35 or so. The TR55 is more of an OEM equivalent replacement.

ngk has always been good too me. I also run them on my dirtbike ( cr500 2 stroke) where changing plugs is more routine and i like ngk best.

stock compression, on a stock-ish motor i would just run oem replacement. built motor with lil more compression and aggressive cam prolly a step colder would be an ok idea. br6ef is more of a nitrous plug if i remember correctly.

I'm another vote for the TR6's. I had TR55's and my tuner reccomended the switch to TR6 just for peace of mind.

You can get both at your closest auto parts store and they are relatively inexpensive. If you run them in your car and don't like them(which I don't know how you won't lol) you can always get something else

I have been debating this also, I have MS3 with terminator heads, Fast 92/92. Car seems to run fine but I need to swap wires so might as well do plugs. But what I read the TR5's are better for our cars bc they are copper. Is this correct?

If you have added a cam to your car, run the TR6's at .040". If you are just bolt-ons the TR55's are fine@.050"-.060".

I'll be going ACDelco Iridium (41-110) when I do my cam swap. Out of the box gap @ .040.
