I think the 4" tube coming down would be decent.. But if I could find a good, non-ghetto, way of sealing it to the section I cut out, that would be ideal.

But come to think of it, none of the other ram airs are sealed at the bottom... They are just open to the air like the velocity stack would be.
I started making this but didnt get around to finishing it. Was just one idea i had initially. I would make it a little different now and just run the ine tube right to the center instead of one on each side.

Carlos, where yours touched the bumper was it sealed or just sitting close to it. I'm assuming you were going to seal it judging off the wavy cut.

What are you running currently?

I was going to seal it. I dropped it off to get welded and it never did. It is still at the shop on the backburner.

Right now i run a 4" tube with a velocity stack directly behind the mesh plate insert.

The efficiency of a CAI is all in how its designed. The less bends and turns and less bullshit the better it will perform.

Ever get anything with the 4" tube VS a lid setup? I'm curious...

If you can talk Chrs1313 to come in here and elaborate on all the extensive testing he did on this very subject I'm sure there would be some doubts laid to rest. The intake I have on my car was designed by him and I improved upon it to fit my needs.

So through his testing he found that a CAI setup similar to yours performance wise is better than a 98m no MAF chrs1313 setup?

I can't remember all the testing results he had that's why I said we need to get him in here. At one point I remember him having a lid/CAI hybrid setup that worked good.

here my setup. I wanted to keep the stock look of the plastic rad holder/lower airbox. And run a good filter setup for street driving in the rain, dirt roads, run a maff for all year and not have to change it for a track only setup.

SUX2BU camaro duct setup, sealed to a trimmed and ported stock lower airbox with a clean paper filter.

SLP lid, inside smoother a little, 4" 22* trimmed bellow, to 92 or 102mm TB. With or without a maff cam be used, on lower OEM style car intake.

custom lid for taller intakes. Can use a stock filter, (gains nothing at the track pulling it, the airbox get pressure in it) Maff or SD, and running a bellow that was testing NA to make more power then others style (radius = decreasing percent, and taper after that) on the dyno (new era, same one used on all the intake/lid/over the radiator style intakes setups for a few years now other cars) And at the track gains more MPH then other styles. The shorter and straighter the better. And getting the coolest clean air the better, not in the engine bay, or near or on the rad. AC condenser, auto trans cooler ect.

friends car powdercoated wrinkle black

here are some other setups
