People take out everything from floor mats to the entire hvac system. Just depends on how much you want to sacrifice or you can spend money on lighter parts. You can do bumper supports and loose some good weight there but if its a street car I would keep them on. K members, tubular controls arms, the list goes on and on.

You could still do tubular k member and upper and lower a arms. If you don't have many passengers, you could take out rear seats. Also cruise control if you never use it. Just depends, theres a thread on here where a dude took out a TON of stuff, you just have to decide what you can and cant live without

Get lt/ory and that'll save weight with no cast iron manifolds and cats. And pull the air system. Get a stall converter and they'll shed like 20 lbs over the stock converter.

I dont know to much about stall converters, i kinda know how they work. But i was told you could set them to pull at certain rpms, and that you could have a switch and switch them back to stock rpm pull. Is this correct or is someone just blowing smoke up my ***?

Nope not true, a stall is a great mod for an automatic, just search the automatic section or ask your question there but like the others have said there's quite a few things you can do for weight reduction it just depends on what you want to do, search is your friend, use it & go from there. Good Luck!!!

You'll never need that spare, until you get a flat.

x2, also battery relocation. Won't save weight, but will put it in a better location.

Search this thread "cam only winter upgrades bitch in on a diet". Tons of information on this. You can remove heat shields, carpet insulation, air bag, HVAC system, back seats, washer reservoir, remove the brackets for the rear seat belts and seats, remove the door bars ( I wouldn't do without a cage), abs, cruise, cut the inner fender metal, bumper supports, holesaw everything you can, you can remove the T top and spare tire well and replace it with sheet metal, the list goes on. For a DD I wouldn't mess with much. Everything has its drawbacks. Pick out everything on the car you can live without and remove it. Is relocating the battery worth it? The added wire, solenoid, bracket, kill switch. I would think a lightweight battery in the stock location would be more effective.

GM High Tech did an article on this years ago....... The hatch divider was the first to go... 5lbs. They yanked the washer res and fluid which was 10lbs (fluid included). Spare and jack was about 25lbs and the monsoon amp was another 4 lbs. They also did wheel swaps and rear delete, but you have a DD so those are out.
