The Kwik bracket mounts to the water pump tensioner bosses. It is spaced for the truck depth (from the block to the top of the boss). It uses a completely different tensioner. TRhe mesurement comparison I need is the depth of the bosses on the water pump the tensioner bolts to.
Looking at the tensioers though, I'm guessing the depth of the bosses on the water pumps are different between truck and L99.

Here's a couple shots. The red pump is the LQ9 water pump, and it is the same pump that was in the first post here. I just painted it red for mockup to see if I wanted to paint the L99 pump to match the block.

The LQ9 was 1.50" from mounting surface to top of the boss and the L99 was 3.02" with the micrometer, but I just took a quick measurement it could have been 3.00" dead on. I couldn't hold everything in place and snap the photo, so I used a tape measure for quick reference.

Thanks, I kind of suspected from the tensioners that it would be different.

Just finished test fitting my front pulley system. L99 Camaro water pump with the Holley LS AC bracket because it has the factory cast aluminum look. Used the factory truck bracket with PS pump and Alternator that came with the motor. Below is some info on price and locations that I sourced this kit. The L99 water pump is a great fit if using truck acc and should make for a cleaner install for radiator hose routing in the Chevelle.

Hey lowpro,
Are you saying the Dayco tensioner p/n 89337 works with the L99 water pump?

If it does, it looks like its less than half the price of the AC Delco #12628025.

The Dayco tensioner works with the Holley LS brackets system as the mounting points are located on the bracket for the AC compressor. I did try a test fit using the Dayco tensioner on the water pump mounting points and it looks to line up perfect. However I did not have a belt small enough to confirm fitment. Below are the part numbers Holley has suggested when using there bracket. Same Tensioner just different manufactures and different price points.

Application: ‘97 Corvette
Tensioner assembly with 68 mm grooved pulley
Holley part # 97-151
DAYCO # 89337
GM # 12559325

Sorry for bringing this old thread back but what is the reason for swapping the truck PS pulley to the ford one?

Thanks!

I didn't end up using the Holley brackets that were pictured. I went with a set of brackets from LSbrackets.com along with the stock truck pulley. I think the ford pulley you are asking about allows for more clearance. Here's a link to info: https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...swap-pics.html

Thanks 67ralley for posting that info. How does the 07- 2010 LS2 Trucks , Vans, SUV water pump # 19208815 compare to the L99 water pump and the LS3 water pump ?

The belt spacing is the same. The upper hose location is different. Look up pics at Rockauto.

Its the spacing from the block that Im concerned with , Will the LS2 Truck water pump gain any clearance over the L99 , a 1/3 inch is not going to give me the distance I want from my radiator. It looks like the flater bell and being tighter to the housing it may work , but not sure how much the shaft sticks out.

The later (07+) truck pumps with angle top port have the same block to threaded snout dimension as the earlier ones in post 22 above.

Has any one had any luck with cutting the snout and shaft down ?
