Default What are the best headers for stock ls1?

I have a 2002 SS slp camaro. The car has a K&N filter, slp y pipe, and the slp exhaust that was a part of the slp option. Im wondering whats the best headers on a budget for the car? I seen the pacesetters for a pretty decent price. Can stock cats be butted up with these headers? Will a tune be needed with the new headers? If you guys could give me a little insight I would truly appreciate it.

If you are on a budget, pacesetters or Texas Speed should fit the bill, but I don't know if they will bolt up to the SLP y-pipe. Pacesetters would be the cheapest option but if you want to runs cats might as well go with Texas Speed. As least then you get stainless steel headers. You can get a mail order tune from Frost and you should be good to go.

This... My arh's are awesome imo do it once and do it right. 1-7/8 will give up nothing down low and make more power up top. BBK's are good on a budget but all non stainless headers will rust. Kooks ARH and TSP all make 1-7/8 however the 1st 2 are american made and I can vouch for the quality and fitment

Don't get any headers that bolt to the stock cats! You will be highly disappointed. If you want budget get Texas Speed pacesetters , y-pipe add on an aftermarket high flow cats or if you can get away with it just delete the cats all together. You'll need o2 sensor wire extensions for any long tube header. You'll at least need to have your rear O2 sensors turned off to keep from getting a service engine light. A tune would be very helpful & you'll see quite a bit out of a tune alone especially if your an auto trans as the shift points and firmness can be adjusted.

If you want super budget then you can always get the stainless steel headers on e-bay though a custom y-pipe will have to be made at an exhaust shop.
