How to tell what year my engine is? How do i tell what year my engine is?
A lot of the research i've been doing depends on what year the engine is & the Engine was bought standalone over here so i've no idea what it originally came out of.
Can i tell from a certain stamping somewhere or is there an easier way of telling?
It's a truck LR4, here's a pic - not sure if that'll help...

I believe the number is behind the drivers side head, IIRC.
