Random Tech makes some itty bitty looking high flow ones
(which may not be as chemically effective, but are cats
nonetheless). Dunno about 2.5", I've seen them at 3" but
go check out the sponsors & RT's web site (some of the
odd ones you may have to go direct).

Carsound cats are small, and on one site they did a comparo vs some pricey ones and they flowed 2nd best next to cats that were twice as much.
