Budget 6.0 build

Budget 6.0 build
I finally got a good 6.0 iron block to work with. It's going to the shop to get tanked and new cam bearings. My plan is
New lq9 pistons/rods. Unless I can get forged for the price of the whole rebuild kit. (~800)
Gm crank.
Rings not sure yet
Arp 2000 rod bolts
Afr 205 heads. Got a steal on these
Ls6 cam. Only cuz I don't want to mess with a stall til I get everything ready to pull. Ls6 will go eventually.
What can I look for hp wise with a lq9 afr205s and a ls6 cam with a good tune?

I got these heads complete with 0 miles. Only run time. For less than half of 2300 retail with the dual springs (.600 max) and titanium retainers.

I would think at least 410 with a t56. Bolt on c5 z06's make 380 or a hair more with less displacement and worse heads. to the op though it looks like a good build but I would wait and get a better camno sense in doing it twice.

Stock 4l60 I do plan on upgrading like I said.
Stock 10 bolt Ill mess with it when it blows.
With all my plans I'm fully aware that the ls6 cam is holding me back but it's temp to not completely thrash my trans long enough to save money for the stall and lvl 3 60e. It's my daily driver too so that adds to the ls6 cam for stock or damn near close to it drivability.
I don't plan on making 500+ but I'd like as close as I can get. I'm not ever going to change heads since I got these pretty ones. I just want to be one of the fastest baby cammed fbodys in my area putting a beat down on 5.0s vettes or anyone else. But 97% of my cars miles are strictly kept to the speed limit all city no highway. I baby my car.

Why not just find a Torquer V2 since it will work with the springs you have. Would be a lot easier with the motor out of the car. Much easier to install the pick up and o ring in the oil pump etc... I would also at least do the comp trunion upgrade. My stock(as far as I know)4l60e with VIG3600 is holding fine with this cam and ported 241's and occasional N2O. You will obviously be making more power, but it should last a while if you drive like you say. Just put a big tranny cooler on.

i got them for less than a grand soo i think i got a hell of a deal.
now.. isnt 2.02"/1.60" valves bigger than stock?? if so what pistons should i run with reliefs to avoid valves hitting the pistons?

I don't want an off the shelf cam. I want one specifically built around my heads and for my 6.0. It's not that I don't think it will last, it's that I KNOW for a fact it's been abused its whole life be previous owners so I want to start a new slate. It won't hurt anything but my wallet and I know it won't break for a long time being all new.

I've got a set of rockers I'm going to do the trunion to.
Oil pump wise would I be fine with a tsp ported one? For lifters I found on scoggin dickey they have a "kit" with a set of ls7 lifters trays and bolts for 130$ ill get that.
What should I be looking at rings wise? I don't want to spray or boost. Not on this engine anyways.
My block is missing main caps. Will I be fine with oem replacements or should I shell out for the billet ones(500$)?
I want to get some forged rods around (700$) to spend there. I've been looking at compstars. I want lightest possible within budget.
Pistons I don't know what to run since I believe the afr valves are bigger than stock and I want to be safe and have some valve reliefs. Any suggestions?

For the price of stock LQ9 rods and ARP2000 bolts you can get a nice set of foged Scat I beams with ARP bolts. Pistons you can probably find a decent used forged set for $500.
That way you have a forged rotating assembly for under $800.

Would scat I beams be ok? I haven't seen much on them. I saw them on tsp for 3-400 with no arp bolts. Only reason I'm forging is for added safety. I don't want to spend all my money and stock replacements and break them.

Forged I beam rods will be better than stock LQ9 rods that's for sure.
TSP has them with ARP 8740 bolts for $309:

Another place has em for $283 also with those ARP bolts:

Are those forged? I looked but didn't see it anywhere.. I like the price but would I be ok buying these? I know internals aren't a place to skimp out on.
