Adam.. Have you compared no turn down... vs turn down pointed down/towards the side?

I have never had a turn Down.. There is more.... Pulses? Bouncing around that way when i think about it instead of exiting straight out the back.
Wondering if it makes it quieter but more rasp like sounding?

In my experience i have found turndown towards the sides as mentioned to be the quietest. If you can call it that.

Dumped down to the ground just bounces back up againts the bottom of the car.

Straight out flat cut is more farm truckish.

Straight out slash cut sounded better then flat cut.

As said this has been my experiences.

I had no turn down on my previous 3" dumped ORY and to be honest it was the same **** as the 4" with the tilted turn down.

Well my summit 3" stainless steel universal x pipe kit arrived Wednesday. I ordered my 3" inlet/outlet 18" long stainless sweet thunders yesterday. Hopefully I'll be able to get it down to the exhaust shop next weekend or the one after. I know someone mentioned that the x pipe kit doesn't fit well but I'm using my kooks y pipe all the way to the back of the transmission. Then I'll just have them cut and fab my y pipe to fit the x cross over and from there back. Should work out well that way and I can keep my hanger there on the passenger side and all the o2 sensor bungs that are already in the pipe for future use. I'm getting pretty excited. I can't wait to hear it. That and in case you can't tell, between the kooks headers and y the rest will all be stainless as well.

I will. I've already got the x pipe at the house. Just waiting on the mufflers to arrive.

Okay guys, the muffers arrived today. I laid eveything out in the garage. I placed my Kooks ORY pipe over the top of the X pipe so you can kinda get an idea of how the Y pipe and X pipe will need to be cut and basicallhy spliced together. If all goes well, I'll get it all installed sometime next week.

Will sound good, I have sweet thunders dumped but I went with 2.5 because I am not going to be making 500+ anytime soon lol and I like my ground clearance
