Default Questions about LQ4 build

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum and I had a few questions about a turbo build I was planning. Any and all input is much appreciated, as I am also new to the LS world in general. My first question is regarding flywheels, in order to make my transmission (ford tko) to work with an LQ4 I need a 168t flywheel, is there any manufacturer of that flywheel for these engines, I've searched a little and none of the sites list an LQ4 as an application. My second question is can I use an LS1 harness for this motor in my fox body swap? If it matters I've done a little research and had planned to swap over many LS parts on to this motor. My last question is what kind of power can a stock one of these hold with fastener modifications is ARP bolts/studs where needed etc? Thank you, and once again any info you guys could give me is greatly appreciated.

As long as the LQ4 is 2002 and newer, it uses all the same bolt ons as an LS1... its the same design, just iron block an 4" bore. You can use any harness you want, as its all the same. If you have an older LQ4 with iron heads, it rear crank snout is longer and wont work with certain transmissions.

Actually, 01 and up you'll be good. HP depends on a lot of things... how the engine has been taken care of is a major factor that you wont really know. My LQ4 with BBK longtubes and an LS6 intake, otherwise bone stock with 113k miles, got me a 12.83 at 108 last week, and that was on a fat 11.9 AFR and a slow shifting stock 60E. Not bad for a heavy old truck motor... they're DAMN good engines. I wouldn't be scared to put down 500rwhp with it, but that's just me. I try not to take it above 6000 and my cam choice will reflect that... Id like it to last for a while so I can have some fun this season!

Well as it goes I found a bare block that has 100k on it for 100 bucks, so I figure I'll just build it from the ground up, I'd like to get 800-850 at the tire with twin 76mm turbos on conservative tune, I also figure that since I'll be running a manual tranny it should be a bit easier to get those numbers. I had another questionabout cranks/rotating assembly, can I just get a fully forged LS1 assembly and drop it in this block? The block is an 05 by the way

And speaking of the shift point, I was gonna use the ls7 lifters and upgraded valve train to allow it to rev higher

Its 01 and up, because i bought an 01 LQ4 out of a silverado that had aluminum 317 heads. I stripped it down and have made a NA 408 out of it, but all my LS1 parts work on it.

LS7 are good lifters, i went with moral link bar lifters. For rockers just use the stock rockers with trunion upgrade and you should be fine.

I have been looking at rotating assemblies and for about 3 grand I can get a 1500hp capable 418 stroker kit, so I was thinking of doing that with either twin 76's or a single 88. I do appreciate all the info you guys have given me, are there any tips I should know or any suggestions you guys may have for this build? Its my first one so I'd like to do it right, and I know you guys all know your stuff
