Are you seriously trying to make the argument that the Pacesetter's are the same size as the TSP's? Help me out here.

Haven't you been following his posts lol he's convinced the tsp headers are under sized and headers are supposed to be measured by I.D no matter how much proof is presented.

I have ARH on my cars and my buddy has 1-3/4 pacesetters, my ARH's dwarf his pacesetters side by side no contest and they are the same size as the tsp's. Im amazed no one from tsp and come to defend their product

are you implying that im stupid or something? im making the argument that yes my pacesetters are the same exact size on the inside primaries that a tsp 1 7\8 is. pacesetters are listed at 1 3\4, tsp lists at 1 7\8!!! so that means a tsp 1 3\4 header measures 1 5\8 on the inside which is bs. why would I spend the extra money on a tsp 1 7\8 that measures the same as a pacesetter 1 3\4! nobody cares if the outside measures bigger, you care about the inside diameter and what the primary will flow hense the point in going to a bigger primary. here are the pics of the f body 1 3\4 pacesetter headers that measure the same exact as a 1 7\8 tsp header. You do realize that you're measuring header FLANGES right? The i.d of them should be 1.75 because the 1.75 header tube needs to fit a little inside the flange to be welded up. There for the i.d of that tube past the flange is indeed less than 1.75. Thus it is true that the header pipe is measured O.D.

Without having the tsp pics there's its hard to say perhaps they use 1-3/4 flanges but the pipes themselves are indeed bigger. Ls1 exhaust head ports are around 1.60" so it wouldn't matter if the flange was smaller anyway, the pipe is still a larger i.d.

Really? Did I say ANYTHING about you being stupid? No, I didn't.

You're measuring a FLANGE! Do you even own a pair of calipers? By your take, I'd HATE to own a set of TSP's 1 3/4" headers then!

I can plainly see the ID of the flange you've lined up the tape to, yet you're completely ignoring the primary tube that's welded on the inside of it. Simple mechanics here, folks... Pipe has to fit INSIDE the flange so it can be welded, yes? Now take into account wall thickness and the like.

You show me a picture using a set of ID calipers and I'm more than willing to listen.

Im not getting into the size argument here... I was pretty set on getting the pacesetters but now Im questioning that decision. Are the TSP headers better quality and more durable then the pacesetter?

you should always go 1-7/8 if you can for ls headers. Tsp makes 1-7/8 headers. He was claiming his tsps that he since sold were the same size as pacesetter 1-3/4 but it's clear he measure at the flange which is a completely useless way to measure. also the tsp's are stainless but overall quality is about the same
