I have the low profile QTP electric cutout and 1 amp inline fuse keeps blowing. Anyone have any ideas? From what I read it could be the switch itself, how do I go about checking this? The switch is hooked up to the power going to the cigarette lighter.

I don't know the details of QTP's design. My McCord had
a limiting resistor inline so motor stall couldn't pop anything.
But that was at the business end of the harness, and even
if yours has a similar limiter, wire chafing and a short to
chassis could pop fuses easy.
I used a 10A circuit breaker, powered from my (20A?) power
seat feed, so no worries there even if something like that
happened.
I think the switch is your least likely point of failure, myself.
If the fuse pops in one direction but not the other, that
points to a single wire short (they alternate potential,
opening vs closing position, ground to ground short is
benign).

I also forgot to mention that if the car was off the the switch and motor would work fine and when I turned the car on it would still work fine until I took a drive. Once I drive the car for a mile or two I would test the switch to open/close it would work fine until maybe 5 or 6 tries before popping the fuse. I did the opening/closing while off the accelerator to keep pressure off of the butterfly valve
