Default Changed my exhaust again! **Update! Pics!!**

As some of you know I had just picked up the eBay stainless duals and flowmaster one chambers to replace my magnamouth. Well after bolting it all up I had pretty bad clearance, and the mufflers hit the torque arm, and everything fit terribly. So I went to get an oil change at one of those places where you just drive over the pit and my car got stuck on a tiny lip. Decided it was time to get it all fixed.

So took it to a buddies place, and they are installing flanges in the headers, redoing the driver side pipe that hung too low, then the x, then going under the axle, two more flanges, then put the flow masters right before my cords clones. I should have it Monday. When I left he was up to the x, and it was looking awesome. Can't wait!

Here's what I had.

Do you have any more pics maybe from directly under looking up at the xpipe? I have a completely custom x-pipe into SLP LoudMouthII mufflers, and I just got some new Classic Chambered Powerstick mufflers, and I'm going to buy that same x-pipe soon. My current x-pipe is right under my torque arm so if the car gets on a lift, the exhaust bends down, and i have no clearance with it. I'm just looking for pics how it clears the torque arm and driveshaft.

Oh, and videos ASAP!

It was loud, but much more bearable than the y pipe set up. The overall sound changed drastically. At least now it'll be run out the back so it'll be more tolerable in the car.
Here you can hear it drown out my buddies mustang
And here's a race video.

My mufflers hit the torque arm directly. In the pic the drivers side was bend Down cause I jacked the car up and the torque arm hit it directly and twisted it. It would clear fine with bullets, but any type of chambered muffler is a no go without modification.

I think it sounds great.

What if you had gone with one chamber mufflers that had offset inlet and outlets, instead of them right in the middle like yours. Do you think that would have helped your clearance issues?

Like these for example http://www.summitracing.com/parts/wl...FaxaMgodeVsAOA

It's done! Not sure if I'm crazy about the sound. It's a little more raspy then it was, and that makes me sad, cause that's the whole thing I was trying to avoid.

Oh we'll here it is.

Looks like a well built system. I haven never been crazy about the sound of those flowmaster 10's. If you wanted you could swap out the 10's for a set of magnaflow 4 or 6" round mufflers with just minor fabricating or weld in a couple powersticks before the axle. Although at that point I think the magnaflows would be a better bet. I know the maggies sound awesome done that way

The flow masters sound good, and under the axle is fine, especially with the flanges.

I'll get a sound clip ASAP.

I've never been a fan of any Flowmaster muffler one bit, but the system looks well built.

Yea guy makes good stuff. I'm usually not a fan of flow master myself, but I figured I'd try the 10s, and I like them

Sounds good, with the way the mufflers are placed it has a bit more of the 5th gen sound. I like it

Looks good, I have the same true duals, I haven't got them on yet because I still have to get the headers etc. What else did you have to buy to make the true duals work? Did you install yourself the first time? If so how'd it go/any suggestions?

the first go around I installed them exactly how they came. wasnt hard, the mufflers just dont fit. I couldn't get the driver side to tuck up as good as I wanted, so that was replaced, and I couldnt get these damn mufflers to fit. if your going with a bullet style you might have a better time fitting the exhaust how it comes.

Looks well built, sounds good. Raspy but still has a good tone to it.
