^THIS I did this upgrade to my c5 with a FAST and I have no oil in my intake now and my catch can barely catches much of anything because of the ls6 valley cover. It cleans up the engine bay a lot too by getting rid of all of the crappy ls1 lines.

AmarilloWS6, in your first pic I'm guessing you unplugged the TB vac line just to better show the catch can routing?? Also if I switch to an 04+ ls6 valley on my 99 ls1 (has an ls6 intake) is there interferance between the block and pvc on valley cover?? Sorry OP for the hi-jack but he seems to know the deal on this!!

You're right, I was just trying to show the catch can routing better. On a 99 you will have to cut that little provision on your block, sounds scary but it really is way too easy, I wouldn't let that stop you. My car though, somehow has an 01+ block, I'm assuming the previous owner had the block replaced at one point, but kept the 853 heads, ls1 cam, and ls1 PCV system. Here is a thread I posted in this week answering all the questions you need to know about this swap. It cleans up your engine bay and keeps your motor cleaner as well!

+2 on the ls6 valley cover. Im about to do one in a few weeks too, and its gonna help clean the engine bay a lot.

Heres what gets cut out

Just make sure you cover everything REALLY good. Also make sure you get the 04+ valley cover as amarillo mentioned. Part number 12577927

This is my block in my 1999 c5. The blocks without the provisions started in 2001, so I was pretty stumped when I saw that mine didn't have it, especially since it still had 853 heads, ls1 cam, and ls1 PCV. I wonder what happened to the original? lol

Haha I know! And the car was bone stock when I bought it too besides the block swap I guess? I love my Monster Stage 2 clutch! Good choice.
