Plug IAT hole and lid rubbing?

Plug IAT hole and lid rubbing? I have a 104mm lid that is rubbing on my hood and it is slowly ruining my hood and i think it may ruin the lid as well. Any good ways to prevent this? I thought of maybe using the soft side of some velcro, but that might actually add more friction because it'll make it a tighter fit.
Also, anyone have a good way to plug an IAT hole? I have a hole drilled in my lid and I want to relocate my IAT sensor now.

I used the black "chassis plugs" from the Lowe's
hardware-drawers, cemented with black weatherstrip
cement. Pretty much invisible.
I'd put some self-adhesive weatherstrip, thin as you
can get, on the underside of the hood following the
rub-line. It will look crappy but save the lid. As long
as you keep grit from embedding in it, at least.
