Default Holley Mid-Ram intake fitment

okay guys ive got a 2002 Trans Am with a Raptor hood on it and im putting a boost motor together for it...i want a new intake and ive heard that the holley mid rams are good just wondering about the fitment under the hood and if i would have to cut anything because i would prefer not to ... any help would be appreciated, thanks

i'm pretty sure you'll have to cut the cowl and/or lower the engine:

Get the smoke wrench out and tweak some sheet metal. There's always Rain-X...

I had to make provisions for my intake.....

because it is just their terrible dual plane dual quad manifold (which is strictly for looks on a street rod, it doesn't make any power) with a hiram top on it. the lower is so bad it doesn't matter whats on top

hey have dyno proven results over the fast intake. he also said he is running boost and the fast intake leaks always.

Sorry, I am too lazy to go look for it, but...

IDK about proven results over a FAST, however, in the dyno section the one group of engines that made more power w/ this Holley intake were forced induction engines. I thought the thread had matched the Holley vs an LS6 intake, though. There may also be results against the FAST. I just don't remember ever seeing it. NA, there was no improvement.

IMO, for the money, it's not a bad deal. If we had an FI engine, would use it.
