Default Solid Motor Mounts and Vibration

How much more vibration is there with solid motor mounts on a street driven car? Would it be too annoying?

solid motor mounts = Lots of knock retard.

Go for a set of poly mounts.

I used poly mounts recently. They are awesome. Very little movement...but not solid.
I used to dyno with the stock mounts....when the second stage hit the motor would practically roll over and touch the fender. At idle the exhaust was always hitting and vibrating. Now with the polys there is VERY little movement.

How would solid motor mount cause knock retard? The movement of the motor is transfered to the chassis without anything hammering each other. I have heard problems with solid lifters causing knock retard because the lash sounds like minor knock.

i'm not sure exactly how they cause the knock, but i know i don't show any knock with my poly mounts. the motor sits very still.
