How To: Power Steering Pulley and Pump Removal and Replacemnt, LS1 F-Body, Turn One
I slapped together this video showing how to remove and replace the LS1 F-Body power steering pulley and pump. Also the install of a Turn One Pulley and the benefits of their pulley over a stock LS1 pulley. Figured it may come in usefull to somebody.
Also, this video give you all a chance to win a FREE Turn One Inc LS1 F-Body Power Steering Pulley. The pulley is shown in the video. All you have to do is comment below the video on YouTube (comments on this thread will not be entered into the drawing) and you'll be entered into the drawing that will be held on Novemeber 12th 2013.
Check it out!
Good Luck!

I know this is over, but just wanted to give it a bump, i have this pulley in gunmetal gray and i love it, it was SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better then my craptastic pulley that broke the first time i removed it. WTF was GM thinking when they made the pulley out of that material...

Fitting the new pulley to the turn one pump was pretty ghetto too! comprising 2 adjoining walls and a scissor jack.

+1 I have the same one too! except never used a puller to remove it had to improvise by cutting a spanner in half, to make it short enough to get on the bolts behind & turning them bit by bit till the pulley was far enough forward to get them by hand!

The only lesser expensive alternative that I can think of would be to use a truck pulley. Its steel, so it won't explode. Just doesn't have the holes in it to access the pump bolts and isn't as pretty. Hope that helps.

I haven't yet, but I also haven't road coursed it either. Mostly street and drag pulls. Turn One says this pump of theirs will also reduce the heat problem that you may be talking about. It lowers pressure that is not needed at higher RPM to reduce heat.
