How would this sound?
How would this sound? I went on over to LS1sounds.com but couldnt find anything comparable.
LT's, ORY, and a cutout. Also, how would LT's and no cats sound through the stock system? Ive heard everything from not that much different to loud as hell and shitty sounding. The reason I ask is my friend has a 99 SS with stock manifold and a cutout. And I want mine to sound like it has a little more ***** to it. I do have a cam, just not yet installed, TR224/112LSA. Thanks

Im not a fan of cutouts for sound, but they do make good power. It will be really loud with headers and no cats. The stock WS6 catback is pretty descent and with the headrs and !CATS it should sound descent.

LT, ORY. and Cutout sound about as awful as you can get. I am about to get a Bullet put in my I pipe to get rid of rasp. I have been wanting to do this but haven't had time. I have had the Bullet for almost a month now but haven't got it on yet.

Get LT's and Magnaflow exhuast. Get it welded up and even with no cats (as long as your tuned) the idle will almost sound stock. It's a different story at WOT though. It screams. It's only a few hp away from having a cutout also.

cutout with LTs will sound UNBEARABLE....it will be raspy, hollow and sound like a race engine...
when i had the LTs flowing thorugh full pipes and through a LM resonator, it was pretty ridiculous so the cutout would be at least as bad if not worse...
if u really like loud, take a look at my exhaust setup....its very quiet at idle (surprisingly), screams beyond belief at WOT and has MUCH less rasp (almost none) than a normal loudmouth or cutout. this setup may be a bit too much with the cam tho...all a matter of preference.
the magnaflow is not as quiet as everyone thinks....my friend just recently did heads and a t-rex cam (HUGE) in his WS6...he ran it through an open i-pipe and then through the magnaflow and there was a difference but it was still not by any means quiet....
