Default Quieter Exhaust

Currently have stock headers, gutted cats, and a GMMG cutback with an inline resonator. I plan on going with long tubes soon and would like to quiet down an already loud exhaust. Ideas? Will cats be sufficient or will I need to swap out the mufflers too? I would like something reasonably quiet at lower rpm but loud at WOT. Suggestions?

From my experiance, the cats didnt help noise wise, but they were key with reducing rasp. These are loud mufflers, sound great and flow, but loud. If you want to quiet it down you'll need the cats, and throw a Magnaflow 12649 or 2 on there as well.

LOL.

im sure this person means for this car not be to too loud. but yes something like a magnaflow or an SLP DD if you can find one will be fine even with no cats. my car was only slightly louder after i had my high flow cats gutted running LTs.

Buy a quieter exhaust system and then sell your GMMG exhaust.

GMMG with Longtube headers sounds really good, I would reconsider selling it OP

some towns are stricter on their noise laws than others.i don't blame the OP for wanting something quieter.
on that note,i miss my SLP 2OTL.it was quiet around town, but sounded awesome at full throttle.

IMO a magnaflow is perfect. Nice and quiet driving around with zero rasp and opens up at wot. I have one with a cut out for when I want to be loud.

+1

Stainless, straight through design, nice deep tone at idle / cruising, adjust the volume with your right foot
