00 camaro true duals kits?

alright what all companys make a true dual kit.. trying to find one for a friend since the local shops wont do one for him. has long tube headers and no cats.

There are two systems, the bassanni for stock manifold.

Or, the more popular for people with LT. The Texas-Speed True Dual kit which is dumped before the axle. Can be fabricated to the rear by most exhaust shops(hopefully).

I havent mounted my texas speed TD's yet, but they are a nice piece. I of course got a smokin deal on them. The whole system brand new for 175 off a guy in detroit. I cant wait to put them on.

it has a homemade 3" kit with an x pipe and borla race mufflers right now and is dumped just befor the axle but it hits the floor and drags the streets here in nw oklahoma when you go over bumps so he wants something a little quietter and that exits out the rear

TSP is what he should go with, due to him alredy having LTs, but they are made to perfecty mate to Pacesetters, so a little bit of adjusting will have to be done, bot not TOO much.

As for the sound, its not going to be much quieter than borlas if he goes w/ bullets, I'd recommend spiral flows or sweet thunders, both are still fairly loud though, but sound really good. If he wants it quieter, then put some high flow cats on it. Running them out the back help as well, and minimize the drone as well. Any exhaust shop should have the capabilities to extend them out the back. Most will take the cheap and easy route of going under axle, but if your buddy wants a clean look a skilled shop can run the pipes over the axle, either one on each side or both over the right axle, and out the back.most shops will suggest that you go to 2.5 piping in order to go over-axle. Whatever size you use, expect it to cost more due to the amount of time needed to do it. Most go with under-axle, myself included.

Now, as for clearance, going to the TSP or any other TD setup isn't going to gain much at all, unless his previous setup was installed dreadfully low. Most abide by the coke can rule, if it fits upright on a non-lowered car, you've done it right, and if the cars lowered a good install is if the coke can is able roll under it. There are some clearancing remedies like getting a UMI TA, that gives 1/2-1 inch more clearance, and flipping the fuel line bracket. Hope this helped.

If ground clearance is that much of an issue then true duals are out of the question. There really isn't a place to route them under the car and tuck them up. I made my own with 2 1/2", running both pipes in the driveshaft tunnel(with a highly modded X pipe), over the axle on the passengers side, and mounted the mufflers in the back. It took a long time and came out pretty good but needed constant adjusting because it was always banging or rattling on something. It sounded great and was quieter at idle and cruise than I had hoped for, but really not worth the hassle. I guess I had to find out for myself why no one wants to make a true dual rear exit setup for f-bodies.

I went texas speed but shortly after I saw a stainless version on ebay that looks identical to texas speed version for about the same price....
