2001 GMC 6.0 Truck to Camaro intake swap
Got the unit transplanted and running in our 56 Nomad...just looks %$*&@.
Needing to know what year and model to buy to accommodate throttle body, MAP sensor and fuel regulator with return line.
I understand I will have to go with a new serpentine system, but any help would be appreciated. Just don't want to get it wrong.
Thanks, Gary

Dont want to give bad info but do a quick search here or post on performance trucks. Seen the swap done before but dont remember the specifics. You can also shave/paint the intake manifold and avoid having to buy more parts for the swap.

Hey Gary, welcome to LS1tech!
I would suggest the FAST truck intake manifold, FAST number 146602. It's pretty big but you have the space for it and it'll give you the best of all worlds-more power & good looks.
And you can retain the truck style belt drive setup.

LS1 or LS6 intake will bolt up fine. I've bought LS1 intake, rail, and bolts for under $40 on craigslist.
Flex fuel injectors (L59) will fit the intake but are too short to use the LS1 fuel rail. You can get the truck rail to work with mods but it's very tall. Aftermarket rails are your best bet. Non flex fuel injectors (LM7) will require the removal of the plastic tip to fit in the LS1 intake.
Swapping the LS1 injectors, electrical connectors, and rails will work too. I've done both.
The truck TB will bolt up to the LS1 intake, but will require some minor mods to clear the truck accessories. You might have to cut off the coolant crossover.
Some DBW and cable TBs will clear an 07+ water pump. Alternatively you can use a 98-02 f body pump with spacers, 2010 Camaro LS3 pump, or modified pump.
You'll need to cut off the boss for the idler pulley and reroute the belt.
5.3, LS1 intake, aftermarket rails, truck DBW TB, modified truck accessory bracket with Kwik AC bracket.
