Best sounding exhaust I've ever heard on an LS1.

I just had Lane's do a 3" X-pipe into flo-pro twisters and it sounds very nice! It's a nice change from the SLP LM drone. I'll get some clips as soon as the car is tuned.

I have a 3 inch X setup with 16 inch dynomax bullets with turndowns at the axle and all is mandrel bent. The best sound i have yet to hear on a ls1 engine IMO and it's really a little quiter than the old mac Y with a cutout that i had until you drop the gas to the floor It's very deep at idle with the TSP 232/228 cam and turns heads everywhere i go I picked up .13 tenths and 1.5 mph over the Mac Y and cutout back to back weeks of testing. Needless to say my cam was being choked out by the Y and cutout! Just wished i had it done when i ran the time in my sig but i'll get a shot at it late in the year

The unpainted parts are the RT Cats. The mufflers are the vertical straight parts (If you look closely you can see the Chamberred muffler crimps) and those are indeed chrome Z28 style tips. They changed the tone of my exhaust but personally I liked how it made it sound.
Clearence was great when we first made it but after the heads and cam we didnt re-install it to the same height. We left it a little lower so the tips wouldnt hit the rocker panel and that ended up lowering the rest of the set up. I still dont have it tuned (Im not really driving it.) so when I start her up they bang slightly but once it finds the idle they dont bang anymore.
If I load up my car with 4 people (Which I cant recall the last time I did) then they scrape if Im not careful. The few times Ive driven her lately I havent scraped on anything even with it being lower than before. Eventually we'll fix it to so that they tips dont bang and the rest of the exhaust is tucked up neatly so that it wont cause any problems.

Ive had it for over a year and a half and only scraped twice. The first time I had 4 people in the car and was going up a step driveway. The second time I was going down somewhere I shouldnt have been going.

If not, then IMO SFCs are far more
important than exhaust exits.

LS1SOUNDS: I'll try and remember to email it to you once I get home.
zchgla: My friend and I custom made it. And I highly doubt a shop would take as much time trying to perfect it for you. Unless of course you dont mind getting charged an arm and a leg.
