Default True duals Question: Borla xr1 (40085) vs. Magnaflow bullet (14419)

Just like the title says, which do you prefer? Ive looked around a lot on youtube, ls1sounds, streetfire, etc. and still can't find but just a couple running the two setups on a cammed car. I just purchased the ebay 3" xpipe and turndowns from phab engineering and now am looking to purchase mufflers. I definitely would like a more refined "tone" than being obnoxiously loud. So, wheres my fellow members who have a cammed dual setup with either of the two mufflers? I kind of like the sound of 1 chambers as well, however I think I'm going more for an exotic tone vs old school muscle.

I have the 14419 Magnaflow, but with long tubes and ORY. I can tell you though, this muffler has a nice deep tone to it

XR1's if you can afford them. Never been a fan of Magnaflow.

Biggest difference is there is no rasp at all with TD's. It's still loud but much more tolerable to drive around. I switched to Kooks TD's after I did H/C because my GMMG setup was driving me nuts.

That video is the reason why I want XR1's on my dual setup.

i have sweet thunder mufflers on mine, always seem to get people complimenting the exhaust tone. No rasp, but does drone a tad but i just got use to that, and i recently swapped my X for an H. i think it sounds better now but it still sounded great before as well.

i can get some tonight if i remember. basically i had the TSP duals and like an idiot i put dual cut outs on it and they would hit everything i drove over and leak so when i broke one of my clamps on the X it started to leak really bad so i took it to mandrel bending solutions and had them remove my cut outs and X and put an H in for a cheaper fix then replacing the X pipe. gave me better ground clearance and sounds great. kinda wish they put the H closer to the headers but i guess it would of been an issue with removing the trans if i had to in the future. and as far as power difference(bc i know thats the next question going to be asked) i cant say that i noticed any, but i havent had it on the dyno since it got tuned about 5 years ago.

thats my car... I had them dumped before I put them out back, both setups sound great!

Here's a video with them dumped before the axle. (excuse the squeaky pulley, dirty car, and scratched up rear 1/4 panel... all have been fixed lol)

Do you have a video or soundclip?

I also bought the phab 3" x and have been searching all over for clips of the 14419's or similar but there isnt much on youtube, ls1sounds etc. Like the OP I want a smooth refined tone thats agressive but not too loud.
Currently running bbk lt's, ory, magnaflow catback. The cb is too quiet and the cutout is too loud and raspy. How do the pypes m80's sound? suggest a pair of mufflers?

This definitely pushes me more towards the xr1's. Now it's down to xr1s or sweet thunders bc I've seen a few vids with them that sound amazing. Thanks for the replies guys

The XR1's will be a bit louder and sound more raw, while the Magnaflow MagnaPacks have more "tone" and DEFINITELY more bass.

I mean set off car alarms in the parking lot bass. They sound AMAZING.

Or even try running two dynomax bullet mufflers dumped. They cost about $50 each and sound ridiculous. I love mine.
