Ok so this is my first post on here... Any way I am thinking about buying an old ****** jeep and dropping a LS in it. I am looking to build something like the "LSX ******" I don't have a lot of money to spend so it will have to be done on a budget. I would like to have around 500 wrhp or somewhere in that area. What is my best bet?

6.0 iron block, cam, and cleaned up heads. You will need a fast or ls6 intake as well.

Good cost effective start there. Should be short of your 500 rwhp mark but you're in the ballpark.

You're gonna need a good top end to hit the 500 rw mark. 450 is going to be much easier to attain

What rear end and trans are you using?

Automatics and 9"/S60 dyno a little lower than T56/10 bolt cars do.

IMO, don't get caught up chasing a number. Set a goal to build a fun car and reach it.

lq9 + fast intake + custom cam + alot more .injectors ,fuel pump ,ECM tune ,etc .find a nice low mileage 5.3 ,and add a comp 54-455-11 cam for low end torque .

thinking about going with a 4160e. As for a rear end i'm not sure yet, What do you think would be a good choice?
