Default Cut-out????

Ok i know that the cutout goes in the i-pipe but i was wondering if i should put it closer to the y-pipe or closer to the catback or just in the middle....Let me know which of these would be better, or if there is even a better place for it......Thanks

Place it right where the pipe starts to bend and go up over the axle. There's a little spot there that seems to be just for cutouts..

There's actually a little pocket right under the passenger side seats that's a bit further up the I-pipe (than shown above) that's a sweet niche for a cutout. Most people place it there.
It's a simple cut-in-two places (remove segment of I-pipe), replace segment with the cutout, weld.

The closer in you put it, the more 3" pipe you bypass.
Dunno how much it matters. You could also do a pair
of 2.5s before the merge and maybe pick up another
HP. But I did mine at the axle turn-up out back.

Take a look at our web site -- click on Customer Photos to see some good shots of F-Body installations. We have seen a great number of them done with the cutout placed under the floor pan of the right rear seat. Street Pro fits well there with next to zero loss in ground clearance.
