The only time I would install an aftermarket pulley is when doing a cam swap.

You cant really "feel" 7 horsepower really. I am not sure on any of the TQ gains they provide, and that will give you the seat of the pants feel.
Even if the gains were purely psychological like an air razor or the COW booster, having a better quality balancer is always good.

I would install an aftermarket pulley, rather then keeping the stock one. Yes to get every HP out of the car that I can.

BUT, since I see myself doing a cam swap in the near future, I'd rather waiter until then and not do the job twice.

If you have all that on your car, you may be maxing out your stock injectors or fuel pump. I would make sure that is spot on before too many more track passes. (if they are stock)

I have installed a couple of ASP pullies, although it is at the same time I have done a cam swap. I have never really had a problem out of having one.

I would stay away from the ASP. I would recommend any of the others though.

I went with the summit brand 25% underdrive. the install was easy and the quality looks good. it has high walls the keep the belt in place.

If they have an alum hub they seem to be more problematic unless you pin the crank. I would recommend that anyway though.

I ran an ASP for 5yrs no issues and never threw a belt. I just switched to an ATI 10% when I swapped to a bigger cam. The build quality on the ATI is awesome!

I've been running an ASP on my car since 02 and 70000 miles with no thrown belts and no issues.
