Idle is not as loud because it is going out behind the car vs bouncing off the ground.

Ill be ordering the 1 chambers this weekend. I just hope they will fit right in where the tsp bullets are. Hopefully i dont have to do much work to get it to fit.

Also you guys think i can use the same hangers that are on the bullets or do i need to get new ones made?

If you don't want rasp, run true duals.

XR1's sound pretty great, but for what they cost, I would rather go with the Flowmaster 1 chambers.

In the stickied true duals thread, there is a guy who runs a pair of XR1's. I think it's within the last 5 pages of the thread.

Nope. When you take your bullets off you will need a short length of pipe that has a slight bend in it so that the mufflers sit under the rear seat pans. Its not a hard modification if you have a welder and means to cut pipe. Otherwise a muffler shop should do it for 100 bucks or less

Thanks for all the input fellas.. i just picked up a pair of 3 in 1 chambers yesterday. I will get them put on this weekend.

I am still wondering if i should add turndowns or not? Curious how loud it will be without turndowns.

Turndowns will make a huge difference inside the car volume wise if they are angled outward at about a 45* angle. Will also sound better outside the car because the exhaust sound will resonate off the ground

So in essence, turndowns will make the exhaust note louder? I agree though to make sure they are angled 45* because if you have them pointed straight down, you're going to cause a tornado of debris every time you start her up.

I ran mine with no turndowns then added 45* turndowns. The difference in volume was neglible but seems it resonates more inside the car with turndowns. But I had to have them because otherwise the exhaust was blowing right on the axle tubes and I was worried about the extra heat.

It really depends on the car and setup. On my truck I just went from both exiting on the passenger side of the bed before the tire to cut off at the mufflers and now it sounds better. Much deeper and throatier with the exhaust bouncing around under the bed but no drone or anything in the cab.

No, it will be much quieter INSIDE the car IF you put 45* turndowns and angle them outwards at about a 45* angle. Much less drone inside the car. That drone gets old after a while

I think whichever replacement mufflers/bullets I go with, I'll do the 45* angle turn-downs. That's what I have now, and it keeps the heat from heating up whatever it should not be back in front of the axle. I'm still torn on what replacement mufflers/bullets to go with. All I know is the ones on my Texas Speed duals are way too quiet for my liking.

OP, make sure to post up a video once you get the car back from the muffler shop. I'm looking forward to seeing how you compare the new Flowmaster single chambers to the Texas Speed bullets that were on the Texas Speed true duals.
