I wouldn't do the package. It's overkill. Just get the regular BeCool for a Manual.

I have that. I added a huge B&M trans cooler. With a 160 t-stat and programmed fans, it runs fine...

It's a huge radiator tho at 2.5" thick. But it fits without modification.

Yep. That's how to do it.

The thicker radiator puts the fans pretty close to the engine & stuff on front. I'd think the BeCool fans are gonna be even closer.

Again, no need for the fans, the stockers are plenty so long as they're properly running.

As I recall, I got my BeCool radiator from the good folks at WS6store.

Looks like the RPMspeed is for all domestic performance vehicles where the WS6store site is aimed mainly at fbody's and LSx GM vehicles. Not sure why there is 2 different sites, but the WS6store site works much better lol

FYI, a while back people(companies) were selling the LT1 radiator as an oversize upgrade for the LS1 F-bodies. I replaced my stock 2K SS radiator with an LT1(manual trans) unit and can say that it def. has more capacity and the car runs cooler. Much more economical way to achieve a "better" cooling set up. (you have to plug/cap off an extra port on the LT1 rad) If your really concerned about heat I would look for a quality oil cooler set up, or piece one together starting with the improved racing adapter unit and go from there.. Lowering oil temps directly is more effective IMHO. Or do both the OS radiator and an oil cooler set up. Then you would have covered all bases. The becool kit seems really expensive for what it is. You could probably piece together the LT1 rad and an oil cooler for $400 vs. the cost of the becool and be in almost the same place or better cooling wise.

Yes, the LT1 radiator offers more capacity than the LS1 unit but the BeCool is a way better unit.

Best $400 I spent on my ride.

I got a new lt1 radiator for about $75 and it definitely helped with the overheating problem I had in traffic in los angeles. I would get an lt1 radiator over the be-cool because of the huge difference in price, and you most likely wont one one.

I ran an LT1 radiator after my stock one cracked on the side (plastic)

I had half of it blocked with the huge chrs1313 non-AC ram air kit, and living in south Louisiana... It gets HOT.

I never had an overheating issue at all. I coupled it with a 160 stat as recommended by Geoff, and couldn't be happier.

I personally see no reason to go to a 400 dollar radiator when the LT1 can be had for less than 100 bucks and does it's job WELL.

I had an LT1 replacement radiator that came all junked out after shipping. I bought it from Summit. After regretting my decision, I sent it back and got the BeCool from them (price matched WS6Store for me since it was on exchange and threw in coolant and the radiator cap). Thing is artwork. Fully TIG welded end tanks, etc.

I have been leery of ordering a replacement LT1 radiator nowadays as they all come with built-in tranny coolers (be it for a manual or automatic, same part # most times) and most aftermarket ones don't fit well.

BeCool is definitely a high quality piece you can get with or without the tranny cooler.

I was an M6, so I just left the plastic caps on place of the "coolers"

I got mine from Advance Auto with a lifetime warranty. Why order it when you can get it online and select "in store pickup" and use a coupon code... All for less than 100 bucks.

Yeah, the BeCool is a work of art.

I once had an, uh, "issue" when the hose barb on the plastic hose nipple of an original radiator sheared off when the coolant system was pressurized. Needless to say, it made for a very miserable day.

I HATE OEM radiators with plastic tanks & hose nipples and internal oil/transmission coolers that are prone to leaking.

All I'm trying to do is save the guy some money. I can think of about 10 other areas that an extra 300 bucks can go while still achieving the same cooling capacity.

I'll agree they're nice though.

I do agree that they're costly compared to a OEM style unit.

300 is one thing 1500 for that setup is another.

it just doesnt seem necessary unless youre making insane power or running a ton of boost where extra cooling will help.

a well maintained stock cooling system is adequate for most setups from my experience.
