Be-Cool Package

Yes it's pricy, the debate isn't if I should get it but if you can "over cool" and engine.
My idle temps on number 8 get to the 225-230 range in traffic. At highway speeds i'm at a cool 190.
Stock water pump, stock thermostat.
Will a radiator this heavy duty over cool the engine? I don't want to get colder than 190 at cruise, but I would like to maintain the 190 in traffic.
If it is too much would the simple solution of reducing the amount of air that hits it resolve the issue?
my tuner just recently replaced mine but i forgot what they installed.
Ok...this just changed to what aftermarket fans is everyone running.

my heat sucks in my GTO with my 160 when its freezing LOL.
but thats why i said to get your fans tuned to come on sooner.
but under cruising speeds both my cars run cooler with a 160.
160s will aid in cooling your motor.
You're running hotter standing still because the water pump is pumping less GPM.
While it's difficult to increase the pump's GPM, getting a higher capacity radiator will help.
I had overheating issues until I went to the BeCool radiator (with stock fans). The engine never passes 180~190 on the hottest days in traffic with the A/C on.
It would also help (for an A4 car) to get an external transmission cooler (plate type, always). Doing so reduces the heat in the radiator AND eliminates the possibility of the in-tank transmission cooler going bad-and ruining the transmission.
Through my years of owning GM vehicles, I've always found their cooling systems to be barely capable for their application.

so mine indeed did wear out.
both times they were replaced those noises went away.
The fans in my car are the originals and have 200K miles on them, they run fine.
