I thought the magnaflow sounded good if the exhaust is otherwise stock, but it gets raspy sounding without cats.

Do you mean Dynomouth with just a turndown under the car?
If so, I have seen posts of that being done...
The comments were mostly negative on excessive drone inside the car. The outside volume is higher too.
Not down on your suggestion, just passing opinions that I have heard.

how can anything outflow a loudmouth, it's nothing more than a straitpipe, that just has a bulge in it. They sound o.k. on a stock manafold/cat car, I guess I'll know in a couple days how it soulds with longtube headers + race cats, they're going on as I speak. My guess is LOUD, refined, no, LOUD, yes.

Thanx

Slp loudmouth sounds incredible, Borla and GMMG do as well and offer more rear wheel horsepower then LM but also are much much more expensive

Magnaflow sounds great on a car with stock manifolds and with LT's (i've heard both in person....WOW). If moneys not an issue you cannot go wrong with gmmg, I might be a little bias though . Like others have said it's all about what you think sounds good, some people like a refined note others like longtubes, no cats and a loudmouth I bought my GMMG just by listening to soundclips online, but I don't believe soundclips do any of these exhausts justice, just listen to as many of them as you can in person.

GMMG by far, sounds even better with LT's and Cats. LM is cool, but the drone and rasp get to you.

EDIT: READ JRP's STATUS!!!

My bad. Im going off the cutout I used 2 have. It was a hair too loud. I felt that with a bullet muffler itd be just right. Seriously, when I had my cutout I never capped it. It was too loud but didnt want to give up the hp to cap it. I regretted getting the cutout cuz for the same money I could added the bullet muffler minus the catback. It would have given me the same power with less weight and being a lil quieter.

Like J sez the best catback is the one you like.
