Ms3 and the 3600 stall and a good tuner with your other mods will get you to 400 easy .
yeah that's weird. hp was still on a huge upward trend. there's no reason to cut it off that low on an ls1. should go over 600. he likely has around 300 rwhp at 5600 ish.

that was posted by 2xLS1 and i agree with him, I'm going to repeat what was mentioned above to the instructor and see how that plays out

I would go ahead with the h/c install. You will love that cam. Especially with the 3600 stall.

Let me guess...bunch of other students watching you not make the "400HP" that all the mags and message boards said your combo "should" make...???

You've just experienced the first of many times this will happen to you...your probably under 20 years old...(I'm 52...I've taken a couple of these "clownings" myself.)

The key is don't let it get you off track, and learn from them. These guys that have responded so far know what they are talking about and will help you get to your goals...

I'm actually 26 LOL not trying to cry like a kid for help... i was into lowrideing but got out of that culture for the speed instead, so this is still all new to me only been with my car for about a year now so i still have lots to learn, and yea that feeling where everyone thinks your a mr. know it all and thinks his car is the bed when I'm not trying to get that rep. but i guess as long as i know and the people that really understand these cars is what really matters not going to waist my time with others that are ignorant

Now if you really want to mess with the guy driving that Foxbody make sure you tell him you car only put out 291 hp 298 tq on a dyno, this will have him thinking something is wrong with his motor.
Lol & there's been many mustang owners that took their car in to have it looked at cuz they lost a race. A mustang isn't supposed to lose to a camaro ya know!

My car is an example of dyno numbers not meaning much. Recently dynoed 410 rwhp with mods in sig, but it's a very tight race with a 500 rwhp ported/pulled 03 Cobra. Go figure that one lol

Looks like you are around the corner from us. We have a dyno to strap that thing down to if you really want to see dyno differences...

I don't get why people think those numbers, which are at or below stock numbers are normal?

Do you know if it was a dynojet or Mustang Dyno?

My '01 Z28 A4 with catback, lid, and P&P TB put down 326WHP on a dynojet.

The dyno numbers in my sig (271 RWHP/305 RWTQ) were from a mustang dyno and the only mod I had at the time was an SLP Lid.

I'm curious to see what I'd run now with headers/y-pipe/cutout/tune in the mix.

here is my car info:

2000 Camaro SS
A4 built with shift kit and baby 2400 stall
3:73 gears
TSP 1 3/4" LT headers
TSP 3" ORY pipe
custom cat back with 10 series flowmaster
LS6 intake with 36lbs injectors
MTIRacing ported and polished throttle body
ported and polished MAF
K&N ram air intake set up
SLP U/D pulley
and a street tune

i am going to install my 243 heads which will be getting ported and polished, ms3 cam and yank ss 3600 stall, but now I'm debating about going any further because I'm trying to pass the 400 rwhp, and so far i don't think the head and cam swap is going to help me that much with these numbers, my instructors at uti said that those are normal results because stock ls1 put down about 260 rwhp...????? but everyone on here claims that those mods should put me in the 350 rwhp range... unless I'm reading it wrong, so I'm confused and disappointed because i got clowned when i really thought id be above 330 rwhp when i didn't, and another thing that gets me is i raced a 331 stroker foxbody that claims he putting 350 rwhp and i took him by about 2 cars... so please if anyone can help me out with advice/info or see if the dyno wasn't set up properly, anything that can bring me to a better mood will be appreciated.
I have a 130k mile ls1 in my ws6. SLP lid, BBK 85mm TB, stock exhaust manifold, full cats still in there, Crappy smashed ovalized exhaust piping, Flowmaster exhaust. It is an 02 LS1 so it has the 241 heads and LS6 intake. Its even got a rod knock.

It put down 335rwhp and 360rwtp. And this guys dyno reads a little bit lower than his competitors. So he says.
