We did a system that is a combo of the 2 posted last year. We went over the rad support and use the right side opening on like on the camaro. Kept the ac too. It was on a mild bolt-on car that went 11.9@116.xx.....with out headers.

You can do it. We put a little tear drop on the hood for clearance till he got a cowl hood that started the rise in the very front. I'm gonna make something like it For my camaro and I am keeping the ac. I'll build a filter box for it and feed the motor from there.

I did this same 4 inch tubing mod to my formula last year and it picked up a solid mph over the Chrs1313 ram air. O.P. what is the weight of your car with you in the seat?. My motor put down 523 hp when it was in Chrs1313 car,(my son) with a locked ss4000 verter. We put the motor in my car with a circled 4800 verter and it ran 10.12-10.15 at 132mph, 3,050lb. Then I got rid of the lid and ram air and went to what you have on your car. Now it runs 10.04 at 133. My best 60ft has been 1.29, and average around 1.32. For an all out race car the lid's are the biggest restriction where they flatten out on the bottom to go over the radiator.

Spectre has a cone airfilter part# HPR0100 that fits inside 4" tubing. That is what I plan to use when I make this style air intake for my car. Spectre also sells another 4" filter part# HPR9833 but haven't found any info as to whether it fits inside 4" tube.
