Stock exhaust mod


I cut a smaller hole into the inner metal plate.

There are two perforated tubes inside that the exhaust must go throw before leaving the tail pipe.

I used the cut off wheel and removed those.


They are about 50 small holes in one and about 70 in the other.

Welded it all back up and reinstalled.

The results are not as I had wanted. I noticed no extra power. I can hear a little bit of a louder exhaust but not much. It isn't worth the time in my opinion. Very little results.
Loud when I want to play just remove the cutout, quiet when I just wanna be well quiet, but still has a nice tone.

Only thing mufflers do is muffle sound, and without replacing it or literally cutting holes in it you're not going to notice much of a difference in sound. And certainly nothing power wise.

BTW, you actually made the flow worse by removing those two louvered pipes in the factory muffler.
