What a great line.

I have true duals, and I want louder. Im not satisfied, but yet I love the looks I get. You should see the looks on peoples faces when I drop it and the car breaks the tires loose. Im curently thinking of changing the exhaust set up to borla, so instead of being a deep roar, its gona be a high pitched scream. Right now the tone in my exhaust is so deep that you cant really hear the cam lope. My mom hates to drive the car because she says that her ears start to ring when she gets out of it. And when it comes to passing on the frwy, I drop 2 sometimes 3 gears to pass people just because I can. So ond be embarrassed, if you think you look like an idiot passing people by droping one gear, drop some more and wake the dead.

i felt the embarassment
when i had duals, there was a certain rpm range, i think around 2k-2,300, the whole car would VIBRATE so loud, it sounded like a fartpipe on a 19 second civic
I guess it was from the metal hangers on the pipes, right under the back seats
pretty embarassing when I was trying to pass cars on the freeway, so i just kept it in 5th gear at highway speeds half the time

Hell, I don't get embarrassed... I like the looks. People always look at me when I start my car up. Usually because of the alarms I set off around me.

At the track, I've had people (two of which are from these boards) who have been in line behind and watched my burnout & launch tell me how awesome my exhaust sounds from behind. Really loud, but really clean. So overall I'm happy with my $300 catback...

it seems like this is becoming a bigger and bigger problem

here in CT an article was written in the paper about how the police were gonna "crack down" more on loud aftermarket exhaust systems. if you are pulled over for a noise violation and the officer finds that the excessive noise is due to an aftermarket exhaust, instant automatic 150 dollar ticket makes having a LM here in nice suburban CT a real PITA.

Also, here in CT, insurance companies have threatened that if they find that your car has been modified in ANY WAY WHATSOEVER, they will drop you. what the hell is this state, this country, coming to?
