Default MAP sensor Hitting firewall FAST 102

Hey guys where are all of you mounting your map sensors on 102's? I have seen multiple threads on how people break their stock ones off in fbodys when they mount them in the rear. So my question is short of mounting it in the front which I would rather not do what have people done to fix the issue? Orient it a different way or has anyone tapped the rear hole for a hose barb?

Do a search in the forced induction section. Most of the FI guys tap the intake to NPT threads and move it to a remote location. Mainy due to the map sensor poping out under boost, but would work for what your doing too.

Thanks Conan I did look in there and found that most of the ones were about using that on a 92 which has a different map location. I can't find anyone who did it on a 102 to me the barb would stick out further than the map so it would hit even worse but idk

I flipped mine up and made a bracket. There are some pictures on the 102mm Fast thread.

Thanks guys I wanted to do a 90 elbow but no one seems to have one so I take it you all have just been using straight barbs?

Pharcyde, do you have a link to that page? I searched in the thread and didn't see anything

Thanks man I read through it again but the problem is that the map location on the 102 is different than the 92 and is right up against the firewall. If I went that route the elbow you should would hit the firewall. The normal brass hose barb I have to tap in there right now only stock out about an 1" and it's questionable hence why I asked if people were using a standard brass elbow like so or the other. Fitting here.

Flip the sensor so plug is pointing up. Cut a price of flat bar stock and drill a whole in it for the mounting screw and have it hold the map sensor in.

Thank for the correction redbird555 , I totally forgot the 102 is different in the rear port and sensor mount locations than the 92.

I apologize, for any confusion I might have created, and deleted both posts.

BTW, Pharcyde50's solution looks like the way to go.

I took a 2x4 and pushed the firewall back a quarter of an inch with the end. Sensor fits no problem now and it almost looks like it was done at the factory.
