I recently decided to replace my O2 sensors and I decided to go with denso. I ordered the O2 sensors with part number 234-4087. I ended up ordering one each from two different ebay sellers listed under the same product number. Well here is what I ended up with...
So my question is: Are they basically the same?
Can I install them and everything will be fine or what?
And btw I have longtubes and have the rear O2's deleted. Thanks.
At this point I'm thinking they sent me the wrong one. I'm returning it and buying another one from a different ebay seller. I would go buy from parts store so I can actually see what I'm buying, but it's hard to do that when it's $60 compared to $30.
ya... mine both do and always have look like the right one. if anything the left looks like the old style body but with a different tip. i order mine from rock auto/amazon as they are the same price or a little cheaper than ebay and shipping is fast
The problem with Ebay is just this wrong part stuff. Denso O2 sensors at Rockauto are $27.79 each. Search Google for the Rockauto coupon code and paste it in the "How Did You Hear About Us?" and hit enter. It will not be much of a discount, but will pay for half the shipping costs and they never send the wrong parts (unless you select wrong).
Another good tip when getting stuff on RockAuto is to stock up on windshield wipers and light bulbs, they're half the cost of the parts store or Wal-mart.
Yeah I do buy stuff off rockauto a lot, but sometimes the shipping kills the good price. May go with it next time though because for some reason idiot ebay sellers think it's okay to send something that doesn't match the picture in the listing.
I work at autozone and just ordered a pair of densos for my car. They both looked like the sensor on your right as have all the denso o2's I have seen while working there. From the PDF it does look like the left one would be an incorrect sensor. What does the connector end look like on the two?

I have already sent it back now, but I'm pretty sure the connector was the same.
Yeah the one ebay seller sent me the wrong denso O2 sensor. I ordered one from another ebay seller and got the correct one this time. Ebay is just so damn cheap, I can't resist.
