Holy ****!!!! I just checked it out and you're right (at least for the FAST 102). It looks like the 92 still isn't approved (or at least it doesn't say so on it's site). That is badass.

Pretty trick. I wondered and asked this same topic many yrs ago when i got my first fast intake. Why the runner length wasn't modular or interchangeable in the same housing.
Guess someone read one of my old posts. LOL
I'm glad its available now. My trusty 90/90 is soldiered on for many yrs. Time to upgrade

I think the interesting part is that Lingenfelter wasn't the ONLY company to independently test the MSD.

MAST was sent 3 of the LS7 versions. Out of the box bone stock, it made 20 peak over the fast, and more everywhere else.

It seems to me like in order for Fast to make that up, you have to shorten the runner, sacrifice low end, and also shift the power band even higher...

I'm working on it. They're shipping my heads Monday or Tuesday, so I'll call again and see if they want (or can) shoot me the sheets so I can post them.

I was at PRI and missed this.

This is really interesting. I too asked about different runner lengths when the 102 came out. IIRC Tony Mamo spent some time modifying them on different builds.

Definitely interested in seeing where this goes.

WOW. I just cant wait to see MSD vs FAST on large cube and large cam Ls engines. Dyno graphs side by side. ls7, 3 ,2/6 heads. Any one of them will tell the hole story. My guess is the MSD because of the huge plenum area added on the top and sides. Fast's short runners are a band aid but for looks I do like the clear cover w/orange runners. Finally more hp for n/a and nitrous guys with stock body's and hoods.

if we already have a fast manifold can we just buy and switch out the runners? or do we have to buy a whole new intake?

Can anybody suggest which runners would be best for a 418 C.I. LS3 NA, cammed, with Stock LS3 Heads?

Thanks

This is what's so great about a "free market", competition between companies is a "win-win'' for all consumers!

You guys should take a look at the new Vararam VRX manifold as well and then start comparing. There's a dyno VIDEO available online that SAM did, so you can actually see what's going on and the gains.

What is your desired RPM range? How high do you plan to rev it?

When do these new runners come out for the fast setups? I just bought my intake new last month and there was no option for the shorter runners;( that pisses me off I should have waited

maybe this has been answered before but for the guys with fast 102's already, will they be able to buy the race runners and install them or is this a totally different design of the intake?
