Default Flowtech Headers/Magnaflow LOUD!!!

I just had Flowtech headers and ORY installed. I have the Magnaflow cat-back and the car is loud as hell!
Will a Dynomax bullet muffler after the Y help quiet things down?

That's what everybody said before the headers. It's loud now. I'll post a soundclip as soon as I find a place to host it. It's crazy loud if I hit it. I've been scaring people, and a few dogs all day

Gotta love headers! I got the Hooker catback because everyone said it is one of the queitest and it's still pretty loud if I romp on it
I'm not complaining though, as I have gotten many compliments on my exhaust sound.

Get the exhaust as tight as possible and it will mellow out. Not to mention you'll get used to it. At idle when warm my car is quiet as hell. Different story at WOT. It screams then. Weird exhaust but I like it. Can't wait till I get the cam.

Problem solved-

Step 1 - Installed Dynomax bullet muffler part#24219
Step 2 - Tightened bolts on passenger side header(serious exhaust leak)

She sounds pretty sweet now

It was installed on the I pipe right after the Y. I don't have a pic right now.

Yep, the passenger side is almost straight through the muffler. The whole quiet thing came from the LT-1 Magnaflow catback which had the input on the 1 side and both outlets on the opposite. The LS-1 catback has the passenger side outlet sharing the side with the inlet.

Hooker or Magnaflow will be your best bet.

Yes, my magnaflow got very loud after adding headers and an ORP. I swear it was louder than the GMMG I switched too. Maybe the NOTCAM has something to do with it

I have LT's and LM, but I replaced my resonator with a moroso spiral flow, and so far I like it alot. It has a really deep sound now (according to all my friends). I like it better than the bullet mufflers Ive heard, but thats just my $.02

The Muffler shop wanted to charge me 170.00 + Labor.

I just got my long tubes and ory installed. I have the magnaflow catback and if you are behind it and it's revving it's loud as hell!! It's quiet when cruising but once you get into it it's loud!!
