That sucks man. If you pull it off and take it to a welder or exhaust shop I'm sure they can patch it. Worse case just out the dented part and weld new metal over it. I would say it can be fixed tho.

Done this for years,, with a little practice you can repair the tube to the point of looking like new...

Here's what I'd try... I've done this on a titanium dirt bike header so I know it works...
If you have or know someone with a large chest freezer fill the pipe partially with water and leave it in the freezer.... Water freezes, expands, and pops it out.
Make take a couple of times to get it all the way out but it will push it out almost all the way....
Of course that's assuming one will fit in a chest freezer....
If not the other thing someone else mentioned about capping it off applying air pressure and heating the dent works too....

I'm interested to see if Kooks would help you out, those aren't cheap they may pro-rate a single header for you as long as you bought them new. Other than that I've seen some fabricators work miracles, my condolences for your potential loss of a good part.

Good idea, and Kooks is a sponsor on here, so maybe they'll chime in.

if you get it repaired check the head flange for straightness. Might need a slight skim cut to make it perfectly straight again.

Good point. Blew the gasket on that primary. Verified with another gasket that it will still leak, although slight. Gonna pull it off tomorrow and see whats possible.

It still wont look great. But the header will still be useable.

Dont pull it and dont patch it and the freeze is going to be real hit and miss . LLLosing it has already told the best and correct way to repair these ........... Originally Posted by michaeld View Post
